The DO’s and DON’TS of Booty Calls

Screen Shot 2013-12-21 at 9.49.38 AM

OK, it’s the holiday season. Maybe you don’t exactly have a one-and-only, but you’ve still got that ex-flame that you kinda-sorta keep in touch with. And even though it didn’t work out long-term, you still think he’s a nice guy. And let’s be honest, it’s sort of a sure thing.

That’s what a client told me as she was trying to decide if it was a good idea to call him for a booty call.

“It would be fun, and I’d get my sexy playful juices flowing! Right?”

Well, not exactly. Yes, having a fun night is a great thing, no matter where it goes. But having it with your ex-flame? That can get a little confusing. Why risk getting attached, falling for him all over again, or most importantly, possibly weakening your own self-confidence and credibility. After all, you had a conversation with this guy about how you didn’t want to be with him. So stick to it, woman!

DON’T DO IT.

DO step away from the phone. Instead, go and sit your cute tushy on any bar stool. And know that if you wanted to, you could get laid tonight. You’ve still got it! And if you want it, it’s yours. I know, I know, maybe one night stands aren’t your thing. But just knowing it’s possible is sometimes all you need to get the fun, sexy feelings you were going for all along.

Come on over to the blog and join the conversation. Leave a comment–Have you ever called an ex-flame for a booty call? What happened? Was it fun and light, or intense and not quite worth the trouble? Let me know!

Till I see you soon in the comments, take good care of your sweet heart.

Single for The Holidays? Here’s How to Deal.

Screen Shot 2013-12-21 at 8.09.28 AM

If you’ve ever been single for the holidays, you know it’s hard to deal. All of a sudden, it seems like everyone is cozying up in big sweaters on deep cushy couches with their cute, cuddly boyfriends. And you’re thinking, “hey, where’s mine?”

Well, this holiday season I’m single too. Last year I was with my ex-boyfriend. But this year, I’m flying sola.

But I’ll tell you a secret…it’s the BEST holiday season I’ve ever had!

I’l loving the freedom of creating my own traditions with family and friends. I love doing Christmas with the Rosales-Friedmans–movie marathon of 4 movies, 2 theaters, and popcorn and twizzlers all ding-dong day. It’s a Christmas miracle!

And most of all, I’m loving the extra time and space to get quiet, and declare my deep gratitude for my amazing love-filled life. I’m grateful for the people who have always been there, and the bright new connections in my life.

I’m talking to YOU, my love. Thank you so much for being you. I appreciate you. And I love you tremendously.

Somehow, being single for the holidays doesn’t feel so bad at all.

Leave a comment below–let me know how you deal with being single for the holidays. Do you love it? Despise it? Do tell!

Till I see you soon, take good care of your sweet heart.

The Truth about Flirting

Screen Shot 2013-12-08 at 11.45.21 AM

As you know, I’m single. I’m just getting back into the flirting game.

When I’m flirting, I want to appear powerful, sexy and impressive. I want to put my best self forward, ya know?

So when Sam, the guy I’ve been flirting with, asked me “How’s it going?” I was stumped. You see, he was innocently referring to my launch of BDG School.

OK, I’m going to let you in on a little secret–the launch was two weeks of total overwhelm, self-doubt and insecurity. It was very challenging. And yes, there were tears.

But did I want to tell him that? Hell no! Instead, I wanted to tell him that it was great, and I was totally in control.

So, what did I say? Find out below in this week’s episode of BDG.TV. You might be surprised at the outcome!

As always, the most exciting conversations happen in the comments section. Let me know if you’ve ever wanted to “embellish” the truth while flirting? What did you say? I can’t wait to hear your responses!

Till I see you soon in the comments, take good care of your sweet heart.
